- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- milk - 1 c
- vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- shortening
- sifted flour
- lemon extract - 1 tsp
How to make pound cake:
Preheat oven to 325°. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add milk and flour (sifted with salt) alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and lemon extracts. Spoon into 10-inch tube pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
