Ingredients/Components

• sugar - 3 c
• eggs - 6 item
• milk - 1 c
• vanilla extract - 1 tsp
• salt - 1 tsp
• shortening
• sifted flour
• lemon extract - 1 tsp

How to make pound cake:

Preheat oven to 325°. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add milk and flour (sifted with salt) alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Add vanilla and lemon extracts. Spoon into 10-inch tube pan and bake for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
