Potato chip cookies

brown sugar - 1 c
white sugar - 1 c
shortening - 1 c
eggs - 2 item
flour - 2 c
soda - 1 tsp
crushed potato chips - 2 c
chocolate chips or nuts, as desired - 1 item
cup butter or margarine, melted - 1 item
sugar - 1-1/2 c
dates, chopped - 2 c

How to make potato chip cookies:

Stir and let boil 2 minutes. Beat 2 eggs and add to slightly cooled date mixture. Add 2 tablespoons milk and 1 teaspoon salt. Boil 2 minutes more while stirring. Take off stove and add 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 cup Rice Krispies, slightly crushed. Shape into balls and roll in coconut or powdered sugar.
