Chocolate chunk cookies
Ingredients/Components
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- butter or margarine, softened - 1/2 c
- shortening - 1/2 c
- granulated sugar - 1/2 c
- brown sugar, packed - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- pkg - 1 oz
- nuts, chopped optional - 1/2 c
How to make chocolate chunk cookies:
Preheat oven to 375°. In small bowl, combine flour, soda and salt. Set aside. In large bowl, combine butter, shortening, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chunks and nuts with wooden spoon and mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes. Remove to rack and cool completely.
