- flour - 1 item
- pepper to taste - 1 item
- medium onions, quartered - 2 item
- bay leaves, crumbled - 2 item
- rump chuck or round roast - 3 4
- water or beef broth or dry red wine - 1/2 c
How to make pot roast:
You will need a Brown-in-Bag.Trim excess fat from outside of roast. Add salt, pepper and sprinkle of flour. Put bag in pan and place roast in bag. Add onions and bay leaves, then liquid. Close the bag and follow basic directions for Brown-in-Bag.
