Portuguese beans
Ingredients/Components
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- small onion, chopped - 1 item
- salt to taste - 1 item
- tomato paste - 2 Tbsp
- hot sauce - 1 Tbsp
- white wine - 1/4 c
- dry pinto beans - 1 c
- bacon or linguica, chopped - 1/2 lb
How to make portuguese beans:
Cook the beans in large pot. Add all of ingredients to pot except for wine and tomato paste. Dilute tomato paste with wine and then pour into pot and salt to taste. Cook beans an additional 1/2 hour.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low fat, Beans.
