Ingredients/Components

  • sugar
  • flour - 2 Tbsp
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • pinch of salt - 1 item
  • shortening - 1 c
  • dash of salt - 1 item
  • egg, beaten - 1 item
  • rhubarb, diced - 3 c
  • touch of cold water - 1 item

How to make rhubarb crumble:

Crumble:2 c. flour1 c. shortening2 Tbsp. sugar dash of salt touch of cold water Roll out bottom layer for baking dish. Save layer for top.

Filling: Mix ingredients. Pour over bottom layer. Spread top layer over filling; sprinkle sugar over top. Bake at 425° to 450° for about 10 minutes. Turn oven down to 350° for 30 minutes. Cool. Serve with heavy cream.
