Ingredients/Components
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- can water - 1 item
- onion, chopped - 1 item
- uncooked rice - 1 c
- pork chops - 4 item
- can beef consomme or bouillon - 1 item
How to make pork chop skillet dinner:
Brown pork chops in a small amount of fat in skillet. Remove chops and pour off most excess fat. Place onion in skillet and saute until clear; then add washed, raw rice, beef consomme or bouillon and water. Place pork chops on top of rice mixture, cover and simmer about 45 minutes to 1 hour. Can be baked in 350° oven 1 hour. Add more water if needed. Salt and pepper to taste. Serves 4.Recipe categories: Main dish, Pork chop, One Dish meal.
