Pork chop and apple bake



  • brown sugar - 2 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper - 1 item
  • pork chops - 6 item
  • Claret or Burgundy - 1/2 c
  • apple slices 1/2-inch thick - 6 item

How to make pork chop and apple bake:

Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper. Arrange in shallow baking dish. Bake in hot oven (400°) until browned. Top with apple slices; sprinkle brown sugar over apples. Reduce heat to 350°. Pour 1/4 cup wine over chops. After 10 minutes, add remaining wine. Bake 20 minutes longer, basting occasionally with wine from dish. Serves 6.
