Poppy seed cake
Ingredients/Components
- Butter Recipe cake mix - 1 item
- eggs - 4 item
- sour cream - 8 oz
- oil - 3/4 c
- sugar - 1/2 c
- poppy seed - 1/4 c
- Mix at high speed for 2 minutes after the ingredients are all in the bowl
- butter - 1/4 c
- rum flavoring - 1 tsp
- coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
How to make poppy seed cake:
Preheat oven to 325°. Mix at high speed for 2 minutes after the ingredients are all in the bowl. Spray Bundt pan with Pam and sprinkle pan with a little sugar for glaze. Pour in batter. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing.Glaze:1 c. water1 c. sugar1/4 c. butter1 tsp. rum flavoring1 tsp. coconut flavoring Cook water and sugar together for 10 minutes. Add butter and stir.
