  • Butter Recipe cake mix - 1 item
  • eggs - 4 item
  • sour cream - 8 oz
  • oil - 3/4 c
  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • poppy seed - 1/4 c
  • Mix at high speed for 2 minutes after the ingredients are all in the bowl
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • rum flavoring - 1 tsp
  • coconut flavoring - 1 tsp

How to make poppy seed cake:

Preheat oven to 325°. Mix at high speed for 2 minutes after the ingredients are all in the bowl. Spray Bundt pan with Pam and sprinkle pan with a little sugar for glaze. Pour in batter. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes before removing.Glaze:1 c. water1 c. sugar1/4 c. butter1 tsp. rum flavoring1 tsp. coconut flavoring Cook water and sugar together for 10 minutes. Add butter and stir. Add rum and coconut flavorings. Pour this over the cake while still in pan.
