Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- sifted cake flour - 4 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- lemon - 1 tsp
How to make plain cake:
Cream shortening; add sugar gradually. Beat until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Sift dry ingredients three times. Add this and milk alternately. Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours. (I use Red Band plain flour.)Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Low sodium.
