Pistachio dessert
Ingredients/Components
- pkg - 15 oz
- milk
- butter - 1/2 c
- whipping cream or 8 oz - 1 c
- softened vanilla or French vanilla ice cream - 1 qt
How to make pistachio dessert:
Crush Oreo cookies. Melt butter. Mix with cookies. Pat in 9 x 13-inch pan. Save some crumbs for top of dessert. Beat pudding with milk. Mix whipped cream or Cool Whip with pudding. Add ice cream. Mix all together. Add a few drops of green food coloring, if desired. Pour over cookie layer. Freeze. Let soften slightly before serving. Keeps well in freezer.Dorothy uses a graham cracker crust and layers the ice cream and Cool Whip.
