- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- shortening - 2/3 c
- margarine - 1/2 c
- maraschino cherries - 1 item
- pineapple juice - 1 item
- cherry juice - 1 item
- pineapple slices - 1 item
How to make pineapple upside-down cake:
In an ovenproof skillet, melt margarine; add brown sugar and mix thoroughly. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries over mixture. Cream together until fluffy the shortening, sugar and eggs. Add flour, vanilla and juices; mix well. Pour batter over pineapple and brown sugar mixture. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until cake tests done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Pineapple.
