Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- milk - 3/4 c
- melted margarine - 1 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- cinnamon to taste - 1 item
- cans crushed pineapple, drained - 2 oz
- slices white bread, crusts trimmed - 8 item
How to make pineapple strata:
Combine margarine, sugar, eggs and milk in bowl; mix well. Stir in pineapple. Cut bread into cubes. Layer half the bread and half the pineapple mixture in greased 2-quart casserole. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Chill, covered, for 12 hours to overnight. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until brown and bubbly. Yield: 12 servings.Recipe categories: Egg, Pineapple, Side dish.
