Pineapple pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- stick butter - 1/2 item
- can crushed pineapple, drained - 1 oz
- vanilla flavor - 1 tsp
- precooked pie shell - 1 item
- or 3 egg yolks save whites for meringue - 2 item
- Meringue:2 or 3 egg whites
How to make pineapple pie:
Meringue:2 or 3 egg whites1 tsp. vanilla flavor2 Tbsp. sugar In saucepan, add preceding ingredients. Simmer over low heat until thickens, stirring constantly. Pour mixture into precooked pie shell. Beat egg whites for meringue. Add vanilla flavor and sugar. Put over pie filling. Bake until light brown.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
