  • cornstarch - 2 Tbsp

  • butter or margarine, melted - 1/2 c
  • yellow food coloring - 1 item
  • Beat egg whites until stiff
  • medium eggs, separated - 4 item
  • Press into bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking dish

How to make pineapple cheese cake:

Combine graham cracker crumbs, butter and sugar; mix well. Press into bottom of 9 x 13-inch baking dish.Filling:2 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened1 c. sugar1 tsp. vanilla dash of salt1/4 c. flour1 c. milk4 medium eggs, separated Beat together cream cheese, sugar, egg yolks, vanilla, salt and flour, adding milk gradually. Beat egg whites until stiff. Combine with cheese mixture. Pour onto graham crust. Bak at 350° until firm and light brown on top.Topping:1 (16 oz.) can pineapple, crushed2 Tbsp. cornstarch1/4 c. sugar yellow food coloring Drain pineapple juice into 2-quart saucepan, mix in cornstarch and sugar. Cook over medium heat until thick, stirring constantly. Add pineapple and a few drops of yellow food coloring, stir. Heat thoroughly. Spread over baked cheese cake.
