Picnic baked beans
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 2 oz
- brown sugar - 3 oz
- vinegar - 1 Tbsp
- molasses - 7 8
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- catsup - 2 c
- mustard - 1/2 tsp
- bacon - 1/2 lb
- navy beans
- or 3 onions, cut very fine - 2 item
How to make picnic baked beans:
Wash and soak beans overnight. Add 1 1/2 gallons of water. Cook slowly until well done. Add all ingredients. Pour into baking pan and bake 5 or more hours at 350°. If necessary, add more water while beans are baking. This serves about 20.Recipe categories: Side dish, Beans, Picnic.
