  • flour - 1 Tbsp
  • water - 1/2 c
  • shortening - 2 Tbsp
  • pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • clove garlic, minced - 1 item
  • soy sauce - 3 Tbsp
  • catsup - 1/2 c
  • onion, chopped fine - 1/2 c
  • beef bouillon cube - 1 item
  • round steak, cubed - 1 lb
  • medium onions, cut in rings - 2 item
  • box fresh mushrooms, chopped - 1 item
  • large peppers, cut in rings - 2 item

How to make pepper steak with mushrooms:

Brown beef cubes in shortening. Remove from pan. Blend in flour to make a smooth paste. Add catsup, water, soy sauce, pepper, bouillon cube, garlic and onion. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add beef to sauce. Cook until tende
