Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 tsp
- cornstarch - 4 Tbsp
- cold water - 1 c
- vegetable oil - 2 Tbsp
- cloves garlic, minced - 2 item
- soy sauce - 4 Tbsp
- large green pepper, sliced - 1 item
- tomato, peeled and cut - 1 item
- beef round steak thin - 1 lb
- medium onion, sliced tin - 1 item
How to make pepper steak:
Preheat oven to 350°. Place oil, beef, onion, tomato and garlic in 1 1/2-quart casserole and cover. Cook until meat has lost its pink color. Stir occasionally. Dissolve cornstarch in water with soy sauce and sugar. Put over meat. Add green pepper. Cook until peppers are tender yet slightly crisp. Serves over rice.
