Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 1 Tbsp
- water - 1/4 c
- oil - 1/4 c
- pepper - 1 tsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chopped onion - 1 c
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- soy sauce - 1 Tbsp
- cooked rice - 1 item
- beef chuck, cut into thin strips - 1 lb
- green pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces - 1 item
How to make pepper steak:
In frying pan, brown beef in hot oil. Add garlic; cover and simmer until yellow. Add soy sauce and 1/4 c. water; cover and simmer 45 minutes. Add vegetables. Cook 10 minutes. Stir in cornstarch blended with rest of cup of water. Serve over hot fluffy rice.Recipe categories: Main dish, Meat, Beef.
