Pepper steak
Ingredients/Components
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 2 Tbsp
- cold water - 1/4 c
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- hot water - 1 c
- soy sauce - 2 Tbsp
- clove garlic - 1 item
- beef bouillon cube - 1 item
- dash pepper - 1 item
- thin sirloin tips cut into strips - 1/2 lb
- chopped onion I use more - 1/4 c
- can 2 cups diced tomatoes - 1 lb
- large green pepper thin rings - 1 item
How to make pepper steak:
Brown meat slowly in hot oil. Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Dissolve bouillon cube in hot water; add to meat. Cover and simmer slowly for 30 minutes. Add tomatoes and green pepper; cook another 30 minutes (or longer). Combine remaining ingredients and stir into meat mixture. Bring to a boil and cook, stirring constantly, 5 minutes longer.
