Ingredients/Components
- eggs, beaten slightly small eggs - 3 item
- sugar - 2/3 c
- white syrup - 1 c
- melted butter - 1/3 c
- salt only a pinch - 1/4 tsp
- vanilla - 1/4 tsp
- pecan halves - 1 c
- 9-inch pastry shell - 1 item
How to make pecan pie:
Add sugar, corn syrup and butter to beaten eggs. Add vanilla and salt; mix thoroughly. Stir in pecan halves. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 375° for 40 to 50 minutes.During the time Hugh Burton drove a school bus (40's and 50's) and a school trip was made, B. M. McElroy always requested 2 or 3 of these, just for him.
