Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- pecan halves - 1 c
- dark corn syrup - 3/4 c
- brown sugar, firmly packed - 2/3 c
How to make pecan pie:
Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy; add next 4 ingredients. Line pie pan (8-inch) with pastry and sprinkle with pecan halves; pour the filling over pecans. Bake in hot oven, 425°, for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 325° and bake 35 minutes longer or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 1 (8-inch) pie.
