  • cinnamon - 2 tsp
  • eggs - 3 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • flour - 2 c
  • butter
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • powdered sugar - 3/4 c
  • salad oil - 1 c
  • peeled apples Jonathan, sliced thin - 4 c
  • Blend in sugar and vanilla

How to make german apple cake:

Beat salad oil and eggs until frothy. Blend in sugar and vanilla. Gradually add flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Blend well. Fold in apples and nuts. Bake in 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.Icing:3 oz. cream cheese1 1/2 Tbsp. butter1 tsp. vanilla3/4 c. powdered sugar Blend together well. Pour over cake as soon as it is taken from the oven.
