Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 2/3 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • chopped pecans - 2 c
  • packed brown sugar - 2/3 c
  • butter or margarine - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • baking soda - 1/2 tsp
  • all-purpose flour

How to make pecan crispies:

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In mixer bowl, beat butter or margarine on medium speed of electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add sugar and brown sugar and beat until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.

Add dry ingredients to beaten mixture and beat until well blended. Stir in pecans. Drop from a teaspoon 2-inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 375° oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until done. Cool about 1 minute before removing to wire rack; cool. Makes about 60.
