Ingredients/Components
- sticks butter, softened - 2 item
- packed light brown sugar - 3/4 c
- white sugar - 3/4 c
- egg - 1 item
- almond extract - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 2 c
How to make pecan cookies:
With electric mixer, cream butter and sugars. Beat in egg and extracts. Sift together the flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Gradually add to mixture. Stir in pecans. Roll into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Cool for 3 minutes on cookie sheet before removing to rack.
