  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • granulated sugar - 3 c
  • water
  • soda - 2 Tbsp
  • stick butter - 1/2 item
  • pecans - 3 c
  • white corn syrup - 1 c

How to make pecan brittle:

Boil sugar, water and syrup until spins thread. Add pecans. Stir continually until syrup turns golden brown. Remove from heat; add remaining ingredients. Stir until butter melts. Pour quickly on 2 cookie sheets with sides. As mixture begins to harden around the edges, pull until thin.
