  • soda - 1 tsp
  • white sugar - 2 c
  • peanuts - 1 lb
  • Karo syrup white - 1 c

How to make peanut brittle:

Cook sugar and syrup until it threads in heavy pan. Add 1 pound peanuts; cook until peanuts spread, stirring constantly. Add 1 teaspoon soda and stir until it reaches color you want. Pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Cool.
