  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • milk - 2 Tbsp
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • chocolate kisses - 1 item
  • self-rising flour
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • additional granulated sugar - 1 item

How to make peanut blossoms:

Heat oven to 375°. Combine the first 8 ingredients in a mixing bowl until a dough forms. Shape dough into balls and roll in granulated sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 11 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven. Push a chocolate kiss into center of each while warm, so cookie cracks around the edge. Makes 4 dozen.
