Cranberry pie



  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • eggs - 2 item
  • chopped pecans - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • melted shortening - 1/4 c
  • cranberries - 2 c
  • butter or oleo, melted - 1/2 c

How to make cranberry pie:

Grease well a 10-inch pie plate. Spread cranberries over bottom of plate. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar and nuts. Set aside. Beat eggs well. Add 1 cup sugar gradually, mixing thoroughly. Add flour, melted butter and shortening. Beat well. Pour this batter over top of berries. Bake in a slow oven at 325° for 60 minutes and crust is golden. Cut like pie. Serve warm or cold with generous scoops of vanilla ice cream.
