  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1/2 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • shortening - 1/2 c
  • self-rising flour
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • milk chocolate candy kisses - 48 item

How to make peanut blossom cookies:

Combine all ingredients except candy in a large mixer bowl. Mix on lowest speed of mixer until dough forms. Shape dough into balls, using a rounded teaspoonful for each. Roll balls in sugar and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375° for 10 to 12 minutes. Press a candy kiss firmly on each cookie.
