  • flour - 2 c
  • shortening - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • water - 1/4 c
  • fresh or canned peaches
  • stick margarine - 1 item
  • sugar - 2 c
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • wafter or juice from canned peaches - 2 c

How to make peach cobbler:

Filling:1 qt. fresh or canned peaches1 stick margarine2 c. sugar1/2 tsp. cinnamon2 c. wafter or juice from canned peaches Crust: Mix all ingredients for crust. Divide the dough into thirds. Roll out like a pie crust. Line the bottom of a deep pan or dish with one layer of the dough. Line peaches on top of bottom crust. Sprinkle with half the sugar and half of the cinnamon. Cut margarine into pats and put half on top of the peaches, then pour 1 cup of water or juice over the peaches. Repeat with dough, peaches and other ingredients. Top with a third layer of dough. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until top is golden brown.
