Ingredients/Components

  • to 10 potatoes, peeled and cooked - 8 item
  • cream cheese, softened - 8 oz
  • sour cream - 8 oz
  • chives - 3 Tbsp
  • salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
  • garlic salt optional - 1 item
  • butter - 1 item
  • grated Cheddar cheese - 1 c
  • paprika - 1 item

How to make party potatoes:

Blend the cream cheese and sour cream in a small bowl. Set aside. Mash potatoes thoroughly until smooth. Add cream cheese mixture and beat well. Stir in chives. Add salt and pepper to taste. Spread in a 9 x 13-inch buttered pan. At this point potatoes may be covered and put in refrigerator. One hour before serving, dot with butter and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and paprika. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
