Ingredients/Components

  • salt - 1 tsp
  • melted margarine - 1/2 c
  • melted butter - 1/2 c
  • chopped onion - 1/2 c
  • shredded Cheddar cheese - 2 c
  • can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
  • frozen hash browns - 2 lb
  • crushed corn flake crumbs - 2 c
  • sour cream fat-free - 1 pt

How to make party potato casserole:

Grease 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Combine all ingredients except topping (crumbs and butter). Put in casserole dish. Mix topping. Pour on top of potato mix and cover with foil. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes with foil. Uncover and bake additional 20 to 30 minutes. Yields 8 servings.

Can freeze without cereal crumbs.
