  • sugar - 5 Tbsp
  • salt
  • flour - 5 c
  • butter - 5 Tbsp
  • melted butter - 1 item
  • dry yeast - 1 Tbsp
  • milk, scalded - 2 c

How to make parker house rolls:

Combine sugar and butter in bowl; add hot milk. Cool; add yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add flour and salt. Dough will be soft. Knead very little. Let dough rise in bowl. Press out to 1 inch thick; cut with large cutter. Dip in melted butter; fold in half. Place on 13 x 9-inch pan. Let rise. Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes.
