Pacific salmon pie
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 2 item
- milk - 1/2 c
- finely chopped onion - 1/4 c
- finely chopped celery - 1 c
- shredded Swiss cheese - 1/2 c
- of margarine - 1 Tbsp
- rice, cook & set aside - 1/2 c
- can 7 3/4 medium red salmon undrained and flaked - 1 item
- pinch each nutmeg, cinnamon & curry - 1 item
How to make pacific salmon pie:
Grease 9 inch pie pan with 1 tsp. margarine. Melt remaining margarine in frying pan. Saut?© onion & celery. Beat 1 egg and pepper into rice. Pour rice into pie plate to form a crust.Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese over rice. Spread with 1/2 of celery & onion mixture. Spread 1/2 of salmon over celery and onion. Repeat layers again. Sprinkle rest of cheese over top. Beat together spices and remaining egg. Pour over ingredients in pie pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes until a knife comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes before serving.
