  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • butter - 4 Tbsp
  • diced celery - 1 c
  • black pepper - 1/8 tsp
  • small onion, grated - 1 item
  • whole milk - 1 qt
  • oysters - 1 pt

How to make oyster soup:

Over medium heat, melt butter and cook celery until tender. Shake in flour, stirring constantly. Pour in a little milk; stir until smooth, then slowly add remainder of milk. Add dry seasonings; cook until boiling point is reached. Add oysters, oyster liquid and onion. Serve as soon as oysters are thoroughly hot and plump
