- water
- sliced onion - 1 c
- canned tomatoes - 2 c
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- clove garlic, halved - 1 item
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- brown sugar - 1 tsp
- bay leaves - 2 item
- celery salt
- whole cloves - 4 item
- salt - 1 tsp
- carrots - 2 c
- potatoes, diced - 1/2 c
- small onions - 12 item
How to make oxtail stew:
Roll meat in flour. Season. Brown in hot fat. Simmer together with first 12 ingredients for 3 hours. Then add vegetables and simmer until tender. Good family dinner on cold nights.Recipe categories: Time to make, Soups & stews.
