Ingredients/Components

  • water
  • sliced onion - 1 c
  • canned tomatoes - 2 c
  • lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
  • clove garlic, halved - 1 item
  • Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
  • brown sugar - 1 tsp
  • bay leaves - 2 item
  • celery salt
  • whole cloves - 4 item
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • carrots - 2 c
  • potatoes, diced - 1/2 c
  • small onions - 12 item

How to make oxtail stew:

Roll meat in flour. Season. Brown in hot fat. Simmer together with first 12 ingredients for 3 hours. Then add vegetables and simmer until tender. Good family dinner on cold nights.
