Ingredients/Components

  • pkg - 1 oz
  • water - 1 c
  • egg - 1 item
  • grated Parmesan cheese - 2 Tbsp
  • ground beef - 1 lb
  • uncooked lasagna noodles - 8 oz
  • jar prepared spaghetti sauce - 1 oz
  • carton Ricotta cheese - 1 oz
  • chopped chives or onions - 2 Tbsp
  • oregano leaves, dried - 1/2 tsp

How to make overnight lasagna:

Brown hamburger in a large skillet; drain well. Add sauce and water; blend well. Simmer 5 minutes. In medium bowl, combine Ricotta cheese, chives, oregano and egg; mix well.

In bottom of ungreased 9 x 13-inch pan, spread 1 1/2 cups of meat mixture. Top with half of noodles, half of Ricotta cheese mix and half of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat with rest of noodles, Ricotta cheese mix and Mozzarella cheese. Top with rest of meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover and refrigerate overnight.

Heat oven to 350°. Bake, uncovered, 50 to 60 minutes or until noodles are tender and casserole is bubbling. Cover and let stand for 15 minutes before serving. Serves 12.
