Oven swiss steak
Ingredients/Components
- flour - 2 Tbsp
- cornstarch - 2 tsp
- cold water - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- garlic powder - 1/8 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce - 2 tsp
- can stewed tomatoes - 1 oz
- dash of pepper - 1 item
- celery salt - 1/4 tsp
- small onion, sliced - 1 item
- beef round or cubed steak - 1 lb
How to make oven swiss steak:
Combine flour, celery salt and pepper. Pound into meat. Cook in hot oil until brown. Mix sliced onion, undrained tomatoes and remaining ingredients. Put meat in baking dish. Add tomato mixture. Cover with foil and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove meat and add water and cornstarch mixture to tomato sauce. Cook until thick and bubbly. Add meat.
