  • salt - 1 tsp
  • water - 1 c
  • nutmeg - 1/2 tsp
  • vinegar - 1/3 c
  • bay leaf - 1 item
  • celery seed - 1 tsp
  • pork chops - 4 item
  • catsup or chili sauce - 1/2 c

How to make oven barbecued pork chops:

Sprinkle frypan with salt and brown pork chops. Put in casserole. Wipe out skillet. Mix all remaining ingredients and pour into skillet. Simmer 1 or 2 minutes, stirring to deglaze pan. Pour sauce over the chops. Cover and bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
