Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- stick margarine - 1/2 item
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1 c
- cream cheese, softened - 6 oz
- orange flavoring - 1 tsp
- Add eggs, one at a time
- orange Slice drink - 1 c
- touch of orange food coloring - 1 item
How to make orange crush pound cake:
Cream together margarine, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Cream until light and fluffy. Sift together dry ingredients. Add alternately with drink. Add flavoring and food coloring. Pour into pound cake pan that is already floured and greased. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Let cake cool completely before adding topping.Topping:2 c. powdered sugar1 tsp. vanilla touch of orange food coloring6 oz. cream cheese, softened1 tsp. orange flavoring Mix together until creamy.
