Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- coconut - 1/2 c
- baking powder
- melted butter - 3 Tbsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 3 sticks
- can coconut - 1 item
- Pet milk - 1 c
- Add eggs, one at a time
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add flour alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Fold in coconut. Bake in a tube pan at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.Icing:1 c. sugar6 Tbsp. Pet milk3 Tbsp. melted butter1/2 c. coconut Mix well and spread over hot cake.
