Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 6 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • coconut - 1/2 c
  • baking powder
  • melted butter - 3 Tbsp
  • plain flour - 3 c
  • Crisco - 3 sticks
  • can coconut - 1 item
  • Pet milk - 1 c
  • Add eggs, one at a time

How to make coconut pound cake:

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Add flour alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Fold in coconut. Bake in a tube pan at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.Icing:1 c. sugar6 Tbsp. Pet milk3 Tbsp. melted butter1/2 c. coconut Mix well and spread over hot cake. Cool in pan before removing.
