Ingredients/Components
- pepper - 1/2 tsp
- Parmesan cheese - 1 c
- beef broth - 6 c
- slices French bread, toasted - 6 item
- sliced onions
- oil or margarine - 2 Tbsp
How to make onion soup:
Saute onions in oil until transparent and thoroughly cooked. Add broth and pepper. Simmer 30 minutes. Divide into 6 oven-proof soup bowls. Top each with a slice of toasted French bread. Sprinkle with cheese. Place in broiler until cheese melts. Serves 6 people.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low cholesterol, Soups & stews.
