Onion casserole
Ingredients/Components
- melted butter - 1/2 c
- corn flakes
- can cream of mushroom soup - 1 item
- blanched almonds - 1 pkg
- thinly sliced onions
How to make onion casserole:
Cook onions in salted water until tender. Drain. Layer half of onions in buttered dish (I use an 8 x 10-inch casserole), followed by half of soup and almonds. Repeat. Mix melted butter and corn flakes. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350° about 45 minutes. Serves 6 to 8.Recipe categories: Eggs/dairy, Side dish, Casseroles.
