Old fashioned raisin pie
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 3/4 tsp
- packed brown sugar - 3/4 c
- butter
- cornstarch - 3 Tbsp
- water - 3 c
- vinegar
- raisins - 3 c
- pastry for 9-inch pie
How to make old fashioned raisin pie:
Combine raisins and water; boil five minutes. Blend sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon. Add to raisins and stir until clear. Remove from heat and add vinegar and butter. Cool slightly. Turn into pastry-lined pan. Cover with top crust or lattice strips. Bake at 425° for 10 minutes.
