- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- milk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- sticks butter - 3 item
- almond flavoring
How to make old fashioned pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to creamed mixture. Alternating, add flour and milk, mixing well after each addition. Stir in flavoring.Pour batter into a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.
