  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1/2 tsp
  • milk - 2 c
  • flour - 1/3 c
  • butter - 2 Tbsp
  • cocoa - 2 Tbsp
  • egg yolks, beaten - 3 item
  • pie shell - 1 item
  • meringue - 1 item

How to make old fashioned chocolate pie:

Heat egg yolks, milk and butter. Mix together dry ingredients and pour into heated liquid. Cook until thick. Add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell and top with meringue. Brown in a 325° oven.
