Ingredients/Components

  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp
  • eggs - 4 item
  • brown sugar - 2 c
  • butter - 1/4 c
  • nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
  • soda
  • shortening - 1 c
  • nuts - 2 c
  • molasses - 1/2 c
  • cloves - 1/4 tsp
  • dry milk - 1/4 c
  • white flour - 2 c
  • oats - 4 c
  • wheat flour - 2 c
  • raisins or dates - 2 c

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Lightly grease non Teflon pans. Cream shortening, butter, eggs, sugar, milk, molasses, fruit and oats. Add flour, soda, spices and nuts. Press flat with palm of hand. Bake at 400° for 6 to 8 minutes. Bake a little longer for crisper cookie.
