cinnamon - 1 tsp
vanilla - 1 tsp
granulated sugar - 1/2 c
salt - 3/4 tsp
flour - 1 c
brown sugar - 1/2 c
water - 1 Tbsp
baking powder - 1/2 tsp
baking soda - 1/2 tsp
shortening - 1/2 c
oatmeal
egg unbeaten - 1 item
raisins and nuts optional - 1 item

How to make oatmeal cookies:

Put all ingredients except oatmeal into a bowl. Beat all together with a mixer. Add oatmeal, raisins and nuts. Bake at 350° for about 15 minutes.
