Holiday fruit drops
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- chopped nuts
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- sifted all-purpose flour
- soft butter or margarine - 1 c
- candied cherries, cut in halves - 2 c
- cut up pitted dates - 2 c
How to make holiday fruit drops:
Sift together flour, salt and soda; set aside. Put butter in large bowl. Add buttermilk and vanilla. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts and fruit. Drop by teaspoons on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake in a moderate (350°) oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Pitted fruits.
